Blog EntryKids In The Hall, On Tour NowApr 14, '08 7:38 AM
for everyone
Woah!  I just noticed an interview with the Kids In The Hall over at The Onion.  They're back together and on tour with new material.  I went down to Dallas to see them when they did their first round of post-breakup live shows sometime around 2000.  Those shows were pretty much live productions of sketches from the TV show, but were still pretty funny.

It sounds like this tour is going to be all new material, and they're coming to Florida.  (Orlando Thursday, 5/22 and Clearwater Friday, 5/23)  Both are a bit of a drive, but I think I may have to head up to Tampa for the Friday night show.

So Rob Riggle is actually back with them? I dont remember if he was an original member or not.

I don't think so. IMDB says he's an Upright Citizens Brigade alum, which I actually didn't know.

Ah, thats right, I get those two confused. Kids in the Hall had that great "Head Crusher" Sketch.

Are you sure it was Dallas that you saw the reunion tour? I remember seeing them in Austin at an outdoor venue...

You're right, it was Austin. Was that the weekend I flew out and we saw Kimock and KITH in the same weekend?

Come to think of it, I actually saw them twice. Once in Austin, and once I think Scott and I drove down to Houston.

You are correct, sir. Sadly, I had forgotten about the Kimock show...

Eh, it was forgettable. The audience was not as respectful as a Chester's audience, if I remember correctly.

I had the same thoughts after I posted my reply - that the Austin crowd didn't seem to realize what a talent in Steve Kimock they had in front of them. It's no surprise he hasn't been back since. P.S. - noticed that KITH is playing at Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie (DFW area) on 4/23.
